SPRING SEASON INFORMATION UPDATED 4/9/24
Spring season begins April 6th for U6 - U14, April 9th for U5B & April 10th for U5G & U3-4 at Oak Grove Park.
The Centerville Recreational Soccer League is a community-based recreational soccer league, open to all non-club players, focused on providing a safe and enjoyable environment for each and every participant, and managed by an all-volunteer board and coaching staff. All of our regular games are played at Oak Grove Park on Social Row Road in Centerville. If you've played in the fall, you remain in the same division in the spring and move up in the fall when you move up in grade.
WEATHER CONDITIONS - In case of rain, we continue to play as long as it isn't severe weather, at which time we will sound a horn to leave the fields to go to safety. If we delay play for inclement weather, we will evaulate the conditions on the half hour and let families know whether we are stopping or resuming games. If a game is played past the halfway point, we consider it completed. We do not play in case the parks close the fields, which is reflected on the Rainout Line from the CWPD.
Our Spring season accommodates players in divisions U3- U14 (through 8th grade only). We also have a high school and adult league that play on Sundays only. Spring season is focused more on development for U5 - U14 (while our Fall season is more competitive). Scores and standings are not kept at any level, and each division U6 and above will be provided with a special training session coordinated by our Technical Trainers, in addition to their weekly games. The cost of the season is in the registration process.
U3-4 is a developmental division, where players work with trainers in small groups playing dutch-style soccer to learn basic soccer skills. There are no coaches in this division, only our professional trainers. Sessions will be held on Field 50 where the stadium seating and lights are in the center of the park. We play at either 5:30 or 6:30 sessions on Wednesday evening. Players need soccer cleats or tennis shoes, shin guards, a size 3 soccer ball and water bottle. THERE ARE NO SATURDAY GAMES FOR THIS AGE GROUP.
U5 is the only age group that practices half an hour prior to game time, then play their game. U5 have parent coaches. Boys play on Tuesday, girls on Wednesday evenings practice at 5:30, game at 6:00. They need soccer cleats, shin guards, size 3 ball and a water bottle.
U6 - U14 team coach determines day, time and location of practices, and games are played on Saturday at Oak Grove Park. We do not track the practice days or locations, and cannot change teams to accommodate practice days. That requires a player from another team to move in order to keep teams even, and is not fair to ask players to leave a team they're already established with. They need soccer cleats, shin guards, size appropriate ball, and water bottle.
U14 and high school players are NOT permitted to play down from high school to U14, nor up to high school from 8th grade.
Spring soccer program is open to Rec players of any skill level, but is NOT open to any child carded and playing club/select or high school soccer for any team.
Please address questions that are not covered to info@centervillesoccer.com. THANK YOU!
HIGH SCHOOL AND ADULT SPRING INFORMATION
HIGH SCHOOL - Players who are registered in high school can sign up to play with an entire team or as a free agent and will be placed on a team. All teams MUST have an adult coach (over 21) to represent them with the league and keep you informed. The team play games on Sundays, but do not necessarily practice, that is up to the team and coach. Anyone organizing an entire team will be eligible for fee free registration. Please be sure the players indicate the team name when registering (this is usually a last name, not a mascot-type name). We provider jerseys for the season, you will need a size 5 ball, cleats, shin guards and a water bottle to play. High School players cannot play down to U14, and middle school players cannot play UP into high school soccer.
ADULT - Our adult league plays on Sunday afternoons at Oak Grove Park. We have entire teams sign up together with a team captain who represents the team and is a communication point for information. Please name your team captain if you have one in your registration. We are playing adult soccer, and do not tolerate aggressive behavior, foul language or bullying in any capacity. Any of these behaviors are subject to removal and expulsion from the league. Please be respectful of each other and our referees who work to make your games fair and safe. The referee has the final word, regardless whether you agree with them.
In both high school and adult soccer, slide tackling is not permitted. If a player repeatedly slide tackles after being warned or carded, they can be ejected from the game and the league if deemed necessary for safety.

CRS Refund Policy
CENTERVILLE REC SOCCER REFUND POLICY ~
There are costs incurred to operate our league each season - ref fees, uniform cost, park district fees, OSA fees, venue & trainer fees for Futsal, trainer costs, and overhead. We base our operational budget on each of these factors offset by the fees we collect to make the program function. We are a 501c3 non-profit organization and use the majority of our budget to operate every year. Our board are all uncompensated volunteers. It is our objective to make the situation as amenable as possible when your family are not able to participate in our program, however we must stand with our policies as stated.
All requests for refund must be made in writing and sent to Centerville Rec Soccer to christina.frost@centervillesoccer.com, and must include the name of child, parents name, reason for refund, and contact information. Approved refunds are usually refunded within a business week to 10 days via the original payment method.
Refunds are not issued after players are rostered, if the season has begun, if you have chosen to try out for another sport or program or if your child refuses to participate after you have registered for Centerville Rec Soccer.
Refunds are not be given in the event of canceled games due to field closure. Games are rescheduled as permitted by the parks district. One rainout game is built into our schedule when approved, but the parks must approve any other make-up games according to field availability. We do not have control over whether any games beyond one make-up will be scheduled.
We do not honor refund requests made for coach or team dissatisfaction, schedule/time conflicts, or any other reason than approved exceptions. We do not place players together or with specific coaches unless it is the coach's child or two coaches request each other for their children to play together..
EXCEPTIONS TO THE REFUND POLICY
Refunds will be allowed for the following reasons -
- Refunds will be issued minus the 4.75% refund fee if you withdraw before being placed on a team. We can have teams formed a few weeks in advance, and wait to plug coaches and their child into their spot. Just because rosters haven't been issued doesn't mean that teams are not already formed.
- Players moving out of the district prior to receipt of uniform, proof of relocation must be provided.
- Players suffering injury or broken bones that prohibits them from being able to play, prior to the first game of the season. Doctor’s verification must be provided. A prorated or full refund can be issued depending on the circumstances. Please NOTE - Centerville Rec Soccer does NOT allow players to participate with a hard cast because of the possibility of further injury to themselves or others. Regardless if a doctor clears them to play with a cast.
- In the event you are issued a refund, we will deduct 4.75% of the registration fee that goes to the credit processing company for the refund. We do not benefit from the fee and cannot absorb the loss on top of the refund, and hope you understand.
